Weight loss pills help you lose weight as part of a calorie controlled diet, they do not stop you gaining weight in the first place. If you are not overweight they won’t benefit you at all. Your BMI needs to be above 26 for them to be effective anyway.

Why not talk to the doctor when you get your birth control pills, that would seem sensible.

  1. LiveReadings says:

That really is a question for your doctor. Some of the mini pills these days do not have weight gain side effects.

If you are concerned seek a more natural solution to the hormonal imbalance that’s causing your heavy periods:

Exercise more, take more vegetarian sources of protein like beans, lentils, garbanzo beans and brown rice rather than red meat. Eat fish, mahi mahi and salmon and plenty of brocolli for iron.

Drink 8 glasses of pure water a day and don’t let yourself get dehydrated. Stay of the soda, sugery drinks and pizza.

Talk to a naturopath about what supplements to take. You simply might be deficient in vitamin C and magnesium.

Exercise is key though to keeping hormones balanced.
