Question by : How does bifidobacteria help with weight loss?
Is it helping with weight loss by cleaning out our systems, basically causing “poop loss” or is it really aiding in the loss of fat? And if so, is it stored fat or fats that are in the foods we eat?

Bifidobacteria supplements should only be used under the orders of a gastroenterologist.
It is a naturally occurring and beneficial anaerobic bacteria that is an important member of the gut bacteria population (search gut flora).
It does not assist weight loss in any way other than the complete breakdown of a healthy diet.
A healthy diet with minimal added sugar and salt, lots of fresh fruit, vegetables, whole grain foods, beans, peas, and brown rice keep a system as healthy as it can be.
Actually a healthy high fiber diet can result in the absorption short chain fatty acids (beneficial).
This is the only way these SCFA are absorbed into the system.
Other than the normal breakdown, ingestion, use, and storage of fats, bacterial digestion in the large intestine do not affect body fat or ingested fat at all.
Luck.
